"I find the best photos happen in those natural moments between poses, when you're just being yourself and have forgotten about the camera."

Hi, I'm James, an award winning, full time, professional photographer based in Bracknell, Berkshire and I specialise in wedding photography. I mainly cover the Home Counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent and Sussex, but can cover other UK and destination weddings across Europe.

I genuinely love being a wedding photographer and I've had the pleasure of working with some amazing couples over the years. I've often been referred to as "part of the family" at the end of the wedding,  which is really  how I approach my  relationships with my couples and their family and friends, so you can count on me to be approachable and friendly throughout the day. My family and friends would describe me as a people person. Someone who is fun and enjoyable to be around, with bundles of energy.

Before becoming a full time wedding photographer, I spent 18 years working as an Insights Analyst, within an agency environment across a large portfolio of retail brands. Looking back now, it was definitely the creative element of turning data into compelling stories that motivated me the most during this time, so being able to work within a creative role now is something I get genuine enjoyment from.

I originally grew up in the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, but now live in Bracknell, Berkshire with my wonderful wife (Kate) and my 3 beautiful children, Ben, Poppy and Teddy. (Pictured below). I am very lucky to have married my best friend in Kate, who has also given me 3 amazing children. Being a dad and watching them grow and develop, brings so much joy to my life. Ben is a keen football player, spends way to much time playing video games and hates doing homework. Poppy is just animal crazy and definitely takes after her mum in that department. We are constantly taking in animals and currently have 1 dog (Doug), 1 cat (Bob), 1 rabbits. (Oreo) and a Horse (Idris). Lastly, there is Teddy, the most kind, gentle child you'll ever meet. He's such a pleasure to be around and just enjoys life.

I'm a music lover and enjoy going to concerts and gigs, a passion that originates from my time playing guitar in a local band in my 20's. That part of my life feels like a distant memory now, with family and work commitments taking priority, although every now and then, I'll still dust off my old acoustic and crack out a few tunes.

I love my football and have followed the mighty Reading up and down the country since I attended my first match back in 1998, I've been told recently by friends that supporting Reading makes me an endangered species. Yeah, I don't get it either.

Anyway, that's enough about me. Hopefully, this gives you a little flavour into who I am. I  hope you like my pictures and I look forward to speaking with you soon about your wedding day and any personal wedding photography vision you have soon.
