Hi, I’m James – an award-winning Berkshire wedding photographer based in Bracknell.
Huge congratulations on your engagement! I’m a full-time professional photographer, and I absolutely love what I do. I specialise in wedding photography, but also cover engagement shoots and family sessions. Most of my work is across the Home Counties—Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, and Sussex—but I’m always happy to travel across the UK or even hop over to Europe for a destination wedding.
Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with some truly incredible couples. One of the things I hear most often is that I feel like “part of the family” by the end of the day—and honestly, that means the world to me. That’s exactly how I approach weddings: relaxed, friendly, and totally focused on making everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. I’m a people person through and through, with (apparently!) a fun and easygoing vibe, plus enough energy to keep up with even the liveliest dance floor.
Before I became a wedding photographer full-time, I spent 18 years working as an Insights Analyst in the retail world. While it was all about data and reports back then, I realised what I loved most was turning complex info into stories—and now I get to do that in the most creative and meaningful way through photography. Telling your story through photos that really feel like you is what drives me.
I grew up in the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead and now live in Bracknell with my amazing wife Kate and our three brilliant kids—Ben, Poppy, and Teddy. Being a dad is honestly one of the best things in life. Ben’s a football nut (and a bit of a gaming addict), Poppy’s completely animal-obsessed (we’re currently running a mini zoo with a dog, two cats, a rabbit, and a horse), and Teddy is the gentlest, happiest little soul who just loves life.

hen I’m not behind the camera or chasing after kids, you’ll probably find me listening to music or catching a live gig—music’s been a big part of my life since my band days back in my 20s. I still pick up the guitar now and again when time allows. Oh, and I’m a huge football fan—loyal to Reading FC through thick and thin (yes, even now... apparently that makes me a rare breed!).
